How we collect, use, and protect your information
📋 Information We Collect
Account Information
- Full name and email address
- Phone number
- Role (Client or Service Provider)
- Profile photo (if uploaded)
Service Provider Information (Additional)
- ID number (NIDA, Voter ID, or Passport)
- Identity document photo
- Selfie photo for verification
- Emergency contact and reference person details
- Work portfolio photos and achievement videos (reels)
📍 Location Usage
The app may request your location for the following purposes:
- Showing service providers near you
- Auto-filling job location when requesting a service
- Improving search result accuracy
Your location is not continuously collected without your explicit permission. You can disable location permissions at any time in your device settings.
🖼️ Uploaded Media Usage
Photos and videos you upload to ServiceHub are used to:
- Display your profile to potential clients
- Verify your identity (for service providers)
- Improve client search experience
Photos and videos may be stored on Cloudinary servers, our trusted media storage provider. See Cloudinary's privacy policy for more details.
🔔 Notifications Usage
We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send notifications about:
- Booking status updates (accepted, rejected, completed)
- New chat messages
- Verification results
- Important notices from ServiceHub
You can disable notifications at any time in your app or device settings.
📊 Analytics Usage
We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics to improve the app. This includes:
- How often app features are used
- Types of errors that occur
- General user flow patterns (anonymised)
🔐 Data Security
We protect your information through:
- Data encryption in transit and at rest (Firebase)
- Role-based access control (Firestore security rules)
- Crash monitoring and performance analysis (Firebase Crashlytics)
- Internal data privacy guidelines
Although we take all reasonable steps to protect your data, no security system is completely foolproof. We will promptly notify you in the event of a data breach.

ServiceHub uses trusted third-party services:
Database, authentication, notifications, analytics, and crash monitoring
Image and video storage (profile photos, portfolios, reel videos)
Google Sign-In for easy account authentication
